Trust30: Day 7 – Five Years

There will be an agreement in whatever variety of actions, so they be each honest and natural in their hour. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

What would you say to the person you were five years ago? What will you say to the person you’ll be in five years?

(Author: Corbett Barr)

Oh the things I would have told myself five years ago:

Just be, you are enough.

Have a little more patience with love.

Work less hours. It’s just work.

Find yoga, practice daily and keep your intentions.

Get braces to realign your jaw, it will fix your back. This will save you unnecessary pain and lots of driving.

Don’t give into immediate gratification – it’s not worth it in the long-term.

Allow yourself to be a priority.

Let go of your insecurities – they will get you into trouble.

Face your fears. Let it go before it is.

Life doesn’t have to be so serious. Dance. Be goofy & most importantly, be ok with it.

Write. Paint. Be creative. Give yourself that outlet.

And five years from now:

Continue to practice yoga, keep your intentions.

Family is everything; continue to say I LOVE YOU.

Don’t wait to start a family. Make sure to show your kids how to love & have fun.

If there is something you want to do, do it. Don’t wait to live your life. It’s now.
